1 어찌하여 이교도들이 분개하고 백성들이 헛된 것을 꾀하는가?

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

2 땅의 왕들이 나서고 치리자들이 함께 의논하나니, 주와 그분의 기름 부음 받은 자를 대적하며 말하기를,

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

3 “우리가 그들의 결박들을 산산이 부수고 그들의 끈들을 우리에게서 던져 버리자.” 하는도다.

3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

4 하늘들에 앉아 계시는 분께서 비웃으시리라. 주께서 그들을 웃음거리로 삼으시리라.

4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

5 그때 그분께서 자신의 진노 가운데 그들에게 말씀하시고 그분의 심한 불쾌함 가운데 그들을 괴롭게 하시리라.

5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

6 그럼에도 내가 나의 거룩한 언덕인 시온 위에 나의 왕을 세웠노라.

6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

7 내가 칙령을 선언하겠도다. 주께서 나에게 이같이 말씀하셨느니라. “너는 나의 아들이라. 이날 내가 너를 낳았도다.

7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

8 나에게 구하라. 그리하면 내가 너에게 이방 민족들을 너의 유산으로, 땅의 맨 끝부분들을 너의 소유로 주겠노라.

8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

9 너는 철장으로 그들을 부술지니라. 너는 토기장이의 그릇처럼 그들을 내리쳐서 산산조각 낼지니라.”

9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.

10 그러므로 오, 너희, 왕들아, 이제 지혜로워지라. 너희, 땅의 판관들아, 교훈을 받으라.

10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 두려움으로 주를 섬기고 떨림으로 크게 기뻐하라.

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 그 아들에게 입을 맞추라. 이는 그분께서 분노하실까 함이요, 그분의 진노가 조금만 타오를 때도 너희가 그 길에서 망할까 함이라. 자신들의 신뢰를 그분께 두는 모든 자들은 복되도다.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
