<A Song of degrees.>

1 이스라엘은 이제 이같이 말할 수 있느니라. “나의 어린 시절부터 그들이 여러 번 나를 괴롭혔도다.

1 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

2 나의 어린 시절부터 그들이 여러 번 나를 괴롭혔음에도 여전히 그들은 나를 대적하여 승리하지 못하였도다.

2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

3 밭을 가는 자들이 나의 등을 갈았도다. 그들은 자신들의 고랑들을 길게 내었도다.

3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

4 주께서는 의로우시도다. 그분께서 사악한 자들의 끈들을 산산이 끊어 내셨도다.

4 The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

5 시온을 증오하는 자들은 모두 당혹스러워하며 물러나게 될지어다.

5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

6 그들은 옥상들 위에서 자라나기도 전에 시드는 풀같이 될지어다.

6 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

7 풀 베는 자가 그것으로 자기 손을 채우지 못하나니, 단들을 묶는 자도 자기 품을 채우지 못하는도다.

7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

8 지나가는 자들도, ‘주의 복이 너희 위에 있기를 바라노라. 우리는 주의 이름으로 너희를 축복하노라.’ 하고 말하지 않는도다.”

8 Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
